What does the Quality of Life mean to Saskatchewan REALTORS®?
Quality of Life ensures focus beyond real estate to broader community interests. It also gives the Association of Saskatchewan REALTORS® the opportunity to work with community organizations to achieve positive results. The Quality of Life initiative is based on the following principles:

  • ensuring economic vitality
  • providing housing opportunities
  • preserving our environment
  • protecting property rights
  • building better communities

  • Saskatchewan REALTORS®, as community leaders, recognize that these principles are essential to providing safe communities with a high “Quality of Life.” These goals are shared among our communities and are not just the needs of REALTORS®. As a result, this initiative has potential to build partnerships, raise awareness, and influence public policy as it relates to these principles. Saskatchewan REALTORS® want to be involved in initiatives and decisions that improve our communities. Working together, Saskatchewan REALTORS® help to elevate the quality of life for all of us.

    Quality of Life Legacy Grants

REALTORS® lending a helping hand. While everyone deserves to have a good quality of life, sadly, not everyone does – some of us just need a little help. With that in mind, the Association of Saskatchewan REALTORS® created the ASR Quality of Life Legacy Fund. A long-term endowment fund was established in 2013 with on-going fundraising providing the flow-through funding required for the grants. Through an application process, requests for funding are accepted for consideration. Eligible agencies include those charities that support the ASR Quality of Life pillars:

    • support shelter-related services in our communities
    • enhance environmental sustainability, protection and conservation of natural areas
    • promote safer neighbourhoods and improved community services
    • enhance and promote community development and better opportunities for “at risk” populations
    • support populations and disadvantaged citizens

Congratulations to this year's grant recipients: Border City Connects, Saskatchewan Deaf & Hard of Hearing Services, YWCA Regina and Arcola Daycare, and to all our applicants who are doing amazing things in our communities!
